International Conference “Applying non-discrimination law”, TCCI March 3-4 2017

We are pleased to inform you that the Department of Public Law and Political Science of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the Hellenic League for Human Rights, sponsored by the Onassis Public Benefit Foundation and Sakkoulas Publications, will organize an International Scientific Conference on “The Prohibition of Discrimination in Practice”. The conference will take place in Thessaloniki (TCCI conference room, Tsimiski 29), on Friday 3 and Saturday 4 March 2017.

According to the Organizing Committee, “The conference is not only theoretical but also practical. On the one hand it aims to present new trends and developments in the law of non-discrimination in the European area. Οn the other hand, it aims to discuss the reasons why non-discrimination provisions have such a low impact on the Greek legal sphere and any related NGOs. Moreover this conference will explore from a legal point of view, practical issues that are arising in non-discrimination cases, at the same time, representatives from NGOs and the equality institutions will discuss the key role that society can have in combating discrimination”.
